Colleen Henderson

Ten years ago, Colleen managed to put an audience member to sleep during a business presentation! Determined to never let that happen again, she started studying great presenters and learning their secrets for stand out presentations.

It turns out she was already well versed in the most important secret - compelling stories. Colleen has been writing stories since she was eight years old when she made copies of her first book and tied them together with bits of red yarn. She continued writing through high school and in 1993 she graduated from Carleton Universityʼs prestigious Bachelor of Journalism program.

After a brief stint in broadcasting, Colleen decided to travel the world, selling and publishing travel articles along the way. When she returned, she started a ten year career in publishing as a sales representative and editor. A top performer, Colleen was quickly promoted to sales management.

Great presentations were critical to her success and Colleen initiated, designed and implemented presentation skills training for new employees.

Since joining Baxter Bean in 2007, Colleen has revitalized the Stand and Command program to reflect the latest and most successful presentation strategies used by the worldʼs best presenters. Through delivery training and design consulting, she helps her clients deliver stand out presentations and realize their own success.
